The ongoing fight of the police to eject the bad eggs in the police force has been yielding positive result ,as recently just to prove to the world that they have been working assiduously ,the Plateau State Police Command has just arrested two of its men and 15 others suspected to be members of fire arms syndicates.
The names of the police men were given as Corporal Joseph and Constable Mafwai were suspected to be among those who supplies arms and ammunition to the criminal.
It was gathered that they have been dismissed by the police and would face prosecution alongside the other members of the gang who were arrested at Barkin Ladi.
The commissioner of Police Mr. Chris Olakpe ,who led the news men around while parading the suspect ,said that the syndicates has been in the system of manufacturing heavy rifles and revolver pistols.

He stated that the dismissal of the policemen was to serve as lessons to others, who might have such intention and to show that the Force does not have space for irresponsible and criminally minded persons. He said the police also recovered seven rifles, four pistols, four motorcycles and eleven rounds of ammunition from the suspects.
Among the suspects were three other arms manufacturers and alleged high profile criminals who engaged in car snatching and other crimes and had severally been arrested but found their way back to the society.
The commissioner stated.
