A police corporal in Edo state police command who was involved in the brutal killing of a final year student of University of Benin have been dismissed from the force ,after undergoing departmental trial and will soon be charge to court.
Ibraham Momodu ,the final year student ,was discovered to be shot three times on the neck during postmortem examination that was carried out after a public outcry that led to the exhumation of the body that was hurriedly buried by the police who maintained that the deceased was shot on the leg.
It was after the postmortem examination that it was discovered that he was shot three times on the neck.
Reacting, spokesman for the police, Moses Eguaveon said the police would not condone injustice.
“The matter is already being
investigated and justice must be done. Whoever that is exonerated will
be discharged. The public should watch-out for justice.”
