POLYTECHNICS STAFF SUSPENDS THREE MONTHS STRIKE.

The three months old strike of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics have been put to rest after much consultation and deliberation between the FG and the top management of the union.

The agitation of the union which demands that their staff welfare and several others demand which include the implementation of
the approved salary package (COMPCASS) and also the increase in retirement  age from 60 to 65 years of age.
After a close door meeting with between the FG and National Executive Council of the Polytechnics on Tuesday , they resolve on one voice to put on hold the three months industrial strike across the nation.
