The recent publication by some national dailies that Bokoharam has ceased fire in the restive region , have been refuted by the leader of the Islamist militant sect, Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah Lidda’awati wal Jihad – popularly known as Boko Haram – Abubakar Shekau.

The publication which came from the office of Minister for special Duties , who is claimed to be heading the committee on the dialogue and peaceful resolution  of the waring communities in the Northern Nigeria , which claimed that he has finally secured a ceased fire agreement with the militia group.
Though the committee still insist that there was actually a ceased fire agreement with members of the Bokoharam ,but wonder why Shekau should deviate from a resolved agreement.

A source from the committee who prefer his name not to be mentioned ,stated that Shekau is afraid knowing fully well that even though ceased fire agreement will be reached by the FG ,he still has a case to answer  as regards to the evil role he played that claimed thousands of life.
Turaki who made it known in Radio France International , had announced the ceased fire of the Bokoharam  ,in his statement ,he said that he has spoken with the person second in command as far as Bokoharam is concern ,and he assured them of the ceased fire.

But the sect’s leader, Shekau in a new video obtained by the AFP has debunked the ceasefire claims. “Let me assure you that we will not enter into any truce with these infidels,” he said. “We will not enter into any truce with the Nigerian government.”

He was also quoted to have said: “The claim that we have entered into a truce with the government of Nigeria is not true. We don’t know Kabiru Turaki. We have never spoken with him. He is lying.”
The Bokoharam spiritual leader made the comment.
